January 13, 2002 – Park City, UT
TCC event at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT, in association with ICM. Co-hosted by TCC President William Baldwin, Lawrence Bender, Rosario Dawson, Frances Fisher, Joe Pantoliano and Tim Robbins with a special performance by Faith Evans.

February 5, 2002 – New York City
Stand Up For Class mentoring program organized in conjunction with the New York City Board of Education brought leading members of the entertainment industry to the High School for Leadership and Public Service, located one block from Ground Zero. Participants included TCC President William Baldwin and TCC embers Giancarlo Esposito, Al Franken, Matthew Modine and Tracy Morgan. Graciously supported by HBO and Caroline’s on Broadway.

February 12, 2002 – New York City
Private screening of Artistic License’s How to Kill Your Neighbor's Dog starring Kenneth Branagh, Robin Wright Penn and Venessa Redgrave. Another of the films' stars, Peter Riegert, attended the screening.

March 7, 2002 – New York City
Private screening of the HBO’s Oscar-winning documentary Murder on a Sunday Morning, at the HBO Screening Room. Co-hosted by TCC members William Baldwin, Alec Baldwin, Lisa Birnbach, Bebe Neuwirth, Joe Pantoliano and Martha Plimpton.

March 11 & 12, 2002 – Washington, DC
The Creative Coalition, in partnership with Americans For The Arts, sent a delegation to washington, D.C. for Arts Advocacy Day 2002. Capitol Hill delegates included: TCC President William Baldwin; Alan Cumming; Chuck D; Hector Elizondo; Giancarlo Esposito; Mike Frankfurt; Peter Horton; Richard Kind; and Joe Pantoliano. The delegation delivered a unified message encouraging members of Congress to increase funding for the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities, with particular focus on the benefits on arts education for the nation’s youth.

March 20, 2002 – New York City
Free Speech During Wartime: Patriotism vs. Dissent The first in a four part series, this panel, hosted by The Creative Coalition, in partnership with The First Amendment Center and the Fund for New Priorities, examined how First Amendment rights are impacted during times of national crisis. Participants included: TCC Board member Richard Belzer; Kellyanne Fitzpatrick-Conway; Ann Coulter; Tom Fontana and Newsweek Special Investigative Correspondent Michael Isikoff. The discussion was moderated by Charles Grodin.

April 11, 2002 – Los Angeles
Stand Up For Class mentoring program brought leading members of the entertainment industry to three Los Angeles high schools: Birmingham, Eagle Rock and John Marshall. Participants included: TCC President William Baldwin; Tom Arnold; Stephen Collins; Leeza Gibbons; Lisa Gay Hamilton; Chris Lawford; Sharon Lawrence; Harry Hamlin and Greg Germann. April 16, 2002 – New York City
Private screening of the VH-1 Original movie, Warning: Parental Advisory, at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. Starring Griffin Dunne, Mariel Hemingway, Jason Priestley, and Dee Snider, all of whom attended the screening.

June 20,2002 – Los Angeles
Freedom of The Press During Wartime The second of a four part series of discussions, the conversation brought to light the issue of censorship during wartime. The panel was hosted by TCC President William Baldwin and moderated by Variety’s Editor-in-Chief Peter Bart. Panelists included: Carl Bernstein; CNN’s Crossfire Host Tucker Carlson; Newsweek Special Investigative Correspondent Michael Isikoff; Publisher of Variety Charles Koones; and Politically Incorrect host Bill Maher. In attendance were TCC members Dainel Stern, Sharon Lawrence, Mary Stuart Masterson, Harry Hamlin and Christian Campbell. The program was produced in partnership with Media Ventures and the First Amendment Center.

July 14, 2002 – Ridgefield, CT
Private screening of the Showtime Original Picture Women Vs. Men at The Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, Connecticut. TCC President William Baldwin; Showtime President and TCC Board member Mathew Blank; Kenneth Cole & Maria Cuomo Cole; Giancarlo Esposito; Peter Gallagher; Patricia Hearst; Timothy Hutton; Robert Kennedy Jr., Tim Robbins; Susan Sarandon; Chazz Palminteri; and Joe Pantoliano hosted and attended the event. The film stars Paul Reiser, Joe Mantegna and Robert Pastorelli and was directed by TCC member Chazz Palminteri.

August 5, 2002 – New York City
The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring DVD and VHS release party at the Central Park Boathouse. The event was co-hosted by The Creative Coalition and New Line Home Entertainment.

September 26, 2002 – New York City
The Creative Coalition’s Annual Membership Meeting featured a conversation with the New York City Department of Education Chancellor Joel I. Klein at The Michael Z. Bennahum Forum series. The discussion was hosted by Chevy Chase, and moderated by ABC News Correspondent and Emmy Award winner Chris Cuomo.

October 29,2002 – New York City
Seconding the First™ The Creative Coalition’s third presentation of Seconding The First™ at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The program celebrates the First Amendment and is aimed at raising awareness about censorship. Special musical performances by Elvis Costello, Ruben Blades, Shawn Colvin, Chuck D & Public Enemy, Bebe Neuwirth and Lou Reed. Participants in the program included TCC President William Baldwin, Harry Belafonte, Carl Bernstein, Peter Boyle, Bob Costas, Hector Elizondo, Giancarlo Esposito, Danny Glover, Cynthia Nixon, Caroline Rhea, Liev Schreiber and Marlo Thomas. The Christopher Reeve First Amendment Award was presented posthumously to Billboard Editor-in chief Timothy White.

December 10, 2002 – Washington, DC

The program was produced in partnership with the First Amendment Center.
