12:00PM                      Play is suspended for the day.  All remaining players return Sunday for continuation of tournament.

SUNDAY MARCH 4

3:00PM (TBC)             Tournament resumes.  Play continues until 6 players are left.

Final Table Television Taping.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What’s the prize pool?

There is a $200k prize pool plus a $25k seat in the WPT World Championship.  Additionally, the last celebrity standing gets $10k for the charity of their choice.

How is the prize pool divided when it’s all over? 

The final six players earn a piece of the prize pool as follows: 1ST - $100K, 2ND - $50K, 3RD - $20K, 4TH - $15K, 5TH - $10K, 6TH - $5K. 

What is the cost?

This is the ONLY WPT FREEROLL event -- meaning there is no Buy-In.  It is FREE to play!  All players are given the same amount to start the event and you play until you run out of chips.

Where is Commerce Casino?

Commerce Casino is approximately 20 minutes southeast of downtown Los Angeles.

What game will we play?

The game is no-limit Texas Hold ‘em.

What if I've never played before?

You can find basic instructions on Texas Hold ‘em on the World Poker Tour website at http://www.wptonline.net/learntoplay/ .  Additionally, we will hold a pre-tournament instruction clinic a week or two before the tournament for all those interested.  The TV Hosts of World Poker Tour will conduct the clinic and give everyone an embarrassment-free opportunity to learn poker etiquette and all the rules you need to play.

What poker pros will be there?

Winners of previous professional WPT events and VIP’s from WPT will also be playing. While we don’t have confirmation on this year’s attendees, past attendees have included the best in poker including Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, Phil “The Poker Brat” Hellmuth, Gus Hansen, David Williams, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi , Phil “The Unabomber” Laak, Antonio “The Magician” Esfandiari and many more.

Will I be on TV?

There will be some interviews and b-roll taken, but the majority of the TV show is comprised of the Final Table which is made of the last 6 players remaining.

What about transportation?

We will provide local car transportation within the Los Angeles area.
