Creative Coalition Announces Presenters for
2006
Christopher Reeve First Amendment Award
and
2006
Spotlight Awards
New York City (December
7, 2006)
– The Creative Coalition announced today that
legendary journalist Charlie Rose will present the
2006 Christopher Reeve First Amendment Award to actor
and activist Sean Penn at the organization’s
upcoming New York City gala on Monday evening, December
18, 2006. Others who will present and host the 2006
Spotlight Awards include Laurence Fishburne, Kerry
Washington,
Joe Pantoliano, Tony
Goldwyn, Matthew Modine, Richard Schiff, Jason Ritter,
Tim Daly, Tamara Tunie, Oliver Platt, and Dick Cavett.
Recipients of the 2006 Spotlight Awards are Marcia
Gay Harden, Heather Graham, Harvey Keitel, Branford
Marsalis, and Rhonda Mims, President of the ING
Foundation.
The
2006 Spotlight and Christopher Reeve First Amendment
Awards are the centerpiece of a gala evening that will
benefit The Creative Coalition. The Gala takes place on
Monday evening, December 18, 2006 in New York City. The
event is co-hosted by
Gotham
magazine and will be held at Duvet (45 W. 21st
Street). The evening is topped off by the Ultimate
Gift Fantasy Experience. Back by popular demand and
just in time for the holiday season, guests will choose
– based on ticket level – gifts from the worlds of
