The Creative
Coalition Shoots for Art & Soul with Pulitzer
Prize-winning Photographer Brian Smith
Hollywood Shines Spotlight on Need for Arts Funding with
Book of Portraits and Personal Stories
Los Angeles, CA - (July 30, 2009)
– Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Brian Smith will
take the second round of portraits for The Creative
Coalition's book, Art & Soul. Art & Soul will be
released nationwide in 2010 as the cornerstone of a
campaign to focus attention on the need to ensure that
arts in America thrive and flourish. All book proceeds
will support The Creative Coalition’s arts advocacy
programs.
Art & Soul features portraits of leading and legendary
members of the arts and entertainment community,
accompanied by handwritten personal anecdotes on how the
arts changed their lives.
The roster of Art & Soul participants already includes:
Anne Hathaway, Tony Bennett, Harry Belafonte, Kerry
Washington, Tim Daly, Alfre Woodard, Kerry Washington,
Dana Delany, Zooey Deschanel, Ellen Burstyn, David Hyde
Pierce and musician Chris Botti.
This week’s photo shoot in Los Angeles adds additional
talent who also will be featured in the book, including
Dulé Hill, Taye Diggs, Richard Schiff, Stockard Channing,
Amy Brenneman, Joe Mantegna, Barry Levinson, Rachael
Leigh Cook, and Mike Stoller.
