The Creative Coalition and Spotlight Initiative

Toronto, Canada – (September 9, 2009) – The Creative Coalition and MakingOf (www.makingof.com) join forces to host a dinner to champion the art and craft of filmmaking. With a host committee including Natalie Portman, Harvey Weinstein, Bob Weinstein, Dan Glickman, Hal Sadoff, Robert Baruc and Bill Clark, film industry insiders will gather at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) to honor Lee Daniels (Producer, Precious) and Alejandro Amenábar (Director, Agora), and other industry champions who make a difference and who feature films at TIFF.  

This dinner, co-hosted by MakingOf (a new behind the scenes Web destination whose mission is to champion the art and craft of filmmaking by providing a platform for filmmakers) is part of The Creative Coalition’s Spotlight Initiative that supports filmmakers and films that use the platform of the silver screen to bring attention to themes and messages that effect us all.
