  • New York City (November 10, 2005)Al Franken will present the 2005 Christopher Reeve First Amendment Award to journalist and political pundit  Arianna Huffington at The Creative Coalition’s 2005 Spotlight Awards Gala scheduled to be held on Thursday evening, November 10th at Esquire Downtown at Astor Place.  2005 Spotlight Awards also will be presented that evening to Star Jones Reynolds and Evern Cooper Epps, President of The UPS Foundation.  Mario Cantone hosts the evening with his special blend of humor, wit and candor. more

Comedy veterans and co-creators Penn Jillette and Paul Provenza capitalize on their insider status and invite over 100 of their closest friends, (who happen to be some of the biggest names in entertainment, from George Carlin, Whoopi Goldberg, Drew Carey to Gilbert Gottfried, Bob Saget, Paul Reiser and Sarah Silverman) to reminisce, analyze, deconstruct and deliver their own versions of the world's dirtiest joke, an old burlesque routine, too extreme to be performed in public, called "The Aristocrats". more

  • Washington, DC (April 30, 2005) – Actors Dennis Hopper, Richard Schiff, Ron Silver, Joe Pantoliano, Jon Cryer and Giancarlo Esposito will be representing The Creative Coalition this Saturday night at the 2005 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.  The Creative Coalition delegation is hosted by The Atlantic Media Company at this year’s dinner.  Immediately preceding the dinner, the two organizations host a VIP reception. more
